Concrete Ordering Tips

  • Always order 5–10% extra to account for spillage, uneven ground, and forms
  • Concrete is sold by the cubic yard — 1 yd³ fills an area of 81 ft² at 4" thick
  • Minimum order for ready-mix trucks is typically 1 cubic yard
  • For small jobs, pre-mixed bags (60 lb or 80 lb) are more economical
  • A standard driveway is 4" thick; garage floors 4–6"; heavy-duty 6+"
